My family love wraps and flatbreads. We eat a lot of them. As pizza bases, sandwiches, dippers and just by themselves. I have never sat well with the bought ones in plastic packets because they never seem to go stale or mouldy. I’m not sure if its the preservatives or the nasty little moisture absorbing sachets they come with. Plus they cost a bomb when you are feeding a voracious crowd on a daily basis, as I am.
So what is the answer? Make your own homemade flatbreads!
I have tried various recipes over the years but this one is the best I have found. This recipe comes from the Budget Buster Thermomix Recipe Book. It makes 16 good size flatbreads with a lovely soft and chewy texture.
This is also an ideal way to use up some of the yoghurt you made in your crockpot last week. Click here for the home made yoghurt recipe.
I made the dough in my Thermomix. If you don’t have one of these wonderful machines, don’t worry. The dough is easily made by hand.
So give them a go. I’m sure you’ll love them. Click here for the recipe
